Before the Columbia Chronicle came to be, students relied on the CC Writer to find out what was going on around campus. The first issue of the CC Writer was published the fall of 1973 and was replaced by the Chronicle in the fall of 1978 in order to move towards a more professional school paper. Going through the newly archived issues, what struck me the most about the former paper were the oddly titled headlines.
The College Archives would like to thank Columbia alum Jacquie Lewis (BA ’75) for her recent donation of these new issues of the CC Writer and Columbia Chronicle.
